How does AdAmplify track and collect data from my site?

With your permission, AdAmplify collects data from your eCommerce platform, ad platforms, and other third-party sites using our proprietary tracking codes or the UTM parameters passed to us by these sites. Reports start generating as soon as data becomes available, usually within a day. Some reports—like Trends or Predictive Analytics—require more traffic or time to provide meaningful insights.

How soon will data appear in my AdAmplify reports?

AdAmplify starts collecting data immediately after installation (connection to your store and paid ad platforms, etc.). When data appears depends on the report type:

  • Trends Dashboard: Requires at least 1 day of data. Comparative views (e.g., Last 7 Days compared to the Previous Period) require 14 days for comparisons.
  • Attribution Reports: Appear after 1 day. Our Machine Learning attribution models improve with 10+ days of data.
  • User Behavior Reports: These reports start collecting data on installation but, based on your site’s repeat purchases, become more robust when your Mean Number of Days Between Orders are established.
  • User Journey: Available within 1 day. Improves with volume over time.
  • Cohort Exporting: Usable as soon as data is available. More valuable with time.
  • Page Performance: Best reviewed after 1 week; 2 weeks needed for comparisons.
How does AdAmplify collect data from platforms like Shopify and Google Ads?

We connect with your eCommerce store and ad platforms using webhooks, APIs and other platform connections, and your explicit permissions. We gather sales and user data from your store; from ad platforms such as Google Ads and Meta Ads; and from our tracking codes or your store’s UTM parameters. We track metrics like costs, clicks, and impressions to calculate ROI across platforms using a unified lookback window.

Our proprietary tracking technology then ties those data points to actual user behavior and conversions on your site.

How accurate is the attribution data in AdAmplify?

Our attribution system is built using proprietary tracking that links site behavior and ad platform activity to your ecommerce transactions. Accuracy depends on correct setup, which we support through documentation, free concierge onboarding, and validation checks. Reports like our Trends Dashboard highlight our attributed purchase data vs. store totals where available.

How reliable are AdAmplify’s Machine Learning insights?

Our Machine Learning (ML) models ingest the data gathered by the AdAmplify platform which is then analyzed by algorithms we’ve developed based on Markov chains to uncover patterns in customer journeys across channels, campaigns, and traffic to your web pages. These models become more accurate as your site gathers more data. More data = higher confidence in the predictive results.

What is marketing attribution and why is it important?

Marketing attribution is the process of understanding how your customer came to know your product or service and their path to conversion. Having this knowledge is essential for determining which marketing channels are worth investing in, and which are wasting your marketing dollars. Marketing attribution models make complex decisions easier with comprehensive data that gives you a full picture of your marketing channels, campaigns and ads. And from how your customer behaves on your site we can predict future revenue and how best to attract loyal customers.

What are the types of marketing attribution models that AdAmplify supports?

These are the marketing attribution models we support:

  • AdAmlify Machine Learning Attribution Model
  • Linear
  • Linear Non-Direct
  • First-Touch
  • Last-Touch
  • Last Non-Direct Touch
  • Comparative (compare any two models)

The type of business you have and the uniqueness of your funnel will dictate which attribution models benefit your business the most. AdAmplify’s marketing attribution software allows you to use all these attribution modeling tools to see which are most effective for your business. With the right attribution platform at your side, you can find the dimensions of attribution models that work best for you.

Why is attribution so important in digital marketing?

For digital marketers, the typical end goal is increasing brand awareness, driving new sales and repeat sales through conversions. A proper understanding of attribution models, and finding the right one for your business, allows you to measure and optimize the touchpoints that convert visitors to customers. Once you have a comprehensive understanding of purchase driving touchpoints, you can maximize your marketing efforts by increasing ROI for these avenues. For digital marketers, expanding your business and increasing sales is achieved quickest through a complete understanding of attribution, which is why it is so important for successful businesses. Machine learning will give you deeper insights into past, present and future performance.

What is marketing attribution software?

Marketing attribution software in its simplest definition is software that allows digital marketers to have a complete understanding of which channels, campaigns, ads, and landing pages have the greatest success in converting users. Marketing attribution software has different tools for compiling this data, such as user journey mapping tools, marketing touchpoint tools, and all-in-one shopping feeds for easy optimization. All of these marketing attribution tools work in tandem with one another to give the most relevant information on how to improve your ROAS/ROI through quantitative user data.

What are the benefits of using marketing attribution software?

Marketing attribution software allows marketers to understand which channels, campaign landing pages, and ads have the largest impact on conversions and revenue. Furthermore, with marketing attribution software marketers can track the impact of every interaction a user partakes in. Statistical analysis of users and their behavior allows for marketers to optimize the paths that users take in order to ensure higher conversion rates, and in turn, a higher Return on Ad Spend (ROAS). Marketing attribution software also helps marketers understand which campaigns are working, and which aren’t. Armed with this information, the marketer can focus more resources on the best performers, eliminate the weakest ones, or optimize those that are underperforming.

Is attribution software easy to use?

Marketing attribution software tries to summarize and organize data and key metrics in ways that make it easy-to-use and less confusing than many analytics platforms. Of course, not every product is successful in this regard. AdAmplify achieves this by, in addition to its detailed attribution reports, presenting key trends, performance summaries, prediction reports, customer journey maps, and its AI/machine learning based projections and predictions in graphical formats that make it easier for marketers to understand what’s happening and what next steps will bring improved results. Our clients tell us it’s the easiest and best marketing tool for optimizing their marketing dollars.
